Day 04: Just launch it

Welcome to all new subscribers 🥳 . In this newsletter I document my journey of building out a profitable 💲 online business as a software engineer. Focused, but not limited to, topics about building a SaaS.

So, what was the progress from yesterday?

I managed to finish up the UI for PaydayPuma.com which is the domain I also bought for the new product.

I need to finish the part that actually lets you save the offer and then add the ability for me to capture emails to start those early conversations but also notify users about their quotes being accepted.

What is the plan for today?

Today being another normal workday for me, I am going to actually polish up EffectiveApe.com so that it is ready for a launch on ProductHunt on Monday.

I realised, if I am okay with giving PaydayPuma for free, why not do the same with EffectiveApe, which is already built out for it! At least I can say I tried it and hopefully will get some feedback.

KISS

Keep it simple stupid. I really don’t want to overthink this too much. I want to give it my best effort but I already had a thought of “oh but the onboarding sucks” leading me to the idea that I should go and rebuild that.

Yes. Eventually. But for now I need to launch and iterate based on the feedback. I am feeling this crucial need of humans taking my item and trying to work with it to let me know if I am going in the right direction at all. It is that boost of motivation I am craving.

So fingers crossed, today is going to be tight, might also require work tomorrow, but we gotta release ASAP!
